The future of technology is in the form of automation and robotics, which refers to the use of electronic devices, such as robots or systems that function without the use of human interaction, to operate machines and equipment.

An example of a developing Automation technology are self-driving cars.

A Self-driving car or truck is a vehicle that does not require a human driver to take control to safely operate the vehicle.

Self-driving cars are also known as autonomous or “driverless” cars. They combine sensors and software to control, navigate, and drive the vehicle.

The future of automation isn't limited to driverless cars, but even fast food restaurants. Consider for example automated pizza restaurant that uses robots for many stages of the pizza production process, from pouring on the tomato sauce, sprinkling the mozzarella cheese, and placing it in the oven.

The same automation process is being used in California for a hamburger restaurant that uses a fully-automated burger robot prototype, which can cook and bag up to 400 burgers per hour.
